Great Britain point guard Jelani Watson-Gayle has picked up the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) Sixth Man of the Year.
Fresh off a standout rookie season in the BBL with Bristol Flyers, Watson-Gayle went right off to Canada with Winnipeg Sea Bears where he has made his mark.
Despite not starting, the native of London, England led the CEBL in three-point percentage (49.0%) and was sixth in the league in three pointers made (47). He also hit five Target Score game-winning shots.
Canada has become this summer’s destination for Brits, with Watson-Gayle being joined by Ashley Hamilton, Patrick Whelan and Kimbal Mackenzie.
