Jasmine Joyner earned a spot in the WBBL’s All-Defensive Team for a second time and was joined by a pair of London Lions and two Leicester Riders team-mates.
The Nottingham Wildcats star missed the second half of the league campaign due to injury, but was still recognised by the coaches around in the league in the voting.
London back-court duo Kennedy Leonard and Shanice Beckford-Norton also made the team with the Riders’ front-court partnership of Ella Clark and Azania Stewart completing the lineup.
Leonard led the league with 3.9 steals per game with Beckford-Norton taking pride in her efforts on that side of the floor with the duo becoming the first players from the club to earn Defensive honours in the WBBL.
Clark set the tone early on in Leicester’s campaign in patrolling the paint with their defence strengthened by the addition of GB Olympian Stewart, who would top the blocks charts with 1.9 per game.
