The American put up 30 points in the first half on her way to a record performance, though Newcastle Eagles were to suffer a 90-82 loss on the road against Essex Rebels.
Gorrell also posted 12 rebounds and five assists to go along with 40 points – surpassing her previous best of 38 for Team Northumbria against Barking Abbey in April, 2017.
