Luol Deng produced a 22-point haul and added nine rebounds for his best points tally of the month as Miami Heat (40-29) fell to a 106-109 loss against Charlotte Hornets. The 30-year-old then added three points in a dominant 122-101 victory for the Heat over his former side, Cleveland Cavaliers.

Joel Freeland came off the bench to add eight points and 11 rebounds in an 82-86 road victory for CSKA Moscow in the VTB league in Russia, whilst collecting 10 boards in a midweek 90-78 success in the Euroleague. Meanwhile, in Mexico, Matthew Bryan-Amaning netted 16 points and Aaron Geramipoor weighed in with 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Soles to an 86-84 triumph in Game 5 of the LNBP Playoffs quarter-finals.

Myles Hesson scored 11 points as Dijon (14-10) suffered a 54-74 home loss in Pro-A at the weekend. Also in France, Laurence Ekperigin top scored with 13 points and added eight rebounds in a 78-59 defeat for Poitiers (12-11) in Pro-B, while Gareth Murray netted 11 points to help Angers (13-14) to a 90-82 NM1 victory and Eric Boateng contributed eight points and six rebounds to a comfortable 73-90 road win for Blois (23-4) as they close on the league title.

In Germany, Gabe Olaseni finished with three points and seven boards as Giessen 46ers (13-12) recorded a 83-79 win in the Beko-BBL to boost their playoffs chances. Will Saunders had four points and four rebounds in a 67-72 road success for Angelico Biella (14-12) in Italy’s Serie A2. Also, Dan Clark scored five points as Andorra claimed a 61-74 success in Liga Endesa in Spain.

Three Brits were in action in Greece at the weekend with Devon Van Oostrum contributing seven points and six rebounds to a 79-66 victory for Arkadikos (6-17) over Trikala (7-16), with Ovie Soko and Justin Robinson scoring 13 and 11 points respectively for the visitors in defeat. In A2, Robert Gilchrist produced a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double for Peristeri in a 73-69 win
