British-Bosnian centre Fahro Alihodzic has signed his first professional contract after joining Spanish Liga Endesa side La Bruixa d’Or Manresa on an initial one-month deal, according to Sportando.

The 25-year-old recently graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, averaging 8.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in his final year, via ESPN.

Having been born in Bosnia, Alihodzic moved to England at an early age and represented the national team at the 2007 U18 European Championships. He has also received call-ups to the GB under-20 side and was invited to attend a workout with coaches of the GB senior side this summer.

Alihodzic also attracted interest from Bilbao but has joined league rivals Manresa instead ahead of the upcoming ACB season, which will also feature GB Senior Men’s duo Dan Clark and Devon van Oostrum.
