Dylan Johns DunkCheck out Copleston’s Dylan Johns, all 7 feet of him, trailing the break and throwing down the sledgehammer against Harris Academy on Wednesday in the EB/BCS Under-19 Premier League.

The ’93 born centre, a former England Under-16, played two seasons of National League at Ipswich Basketball Club and a year at Barking Abbey before he moved to Spain with his family and played junior basketball in Madrid at Fuenlabrada.

Johns has returned to the UK this season to complete his A-Levels (to meet NCAA entry requirements) at Copleston High School, playing with the same group of players that it all started with as an Under-14 in Ipswich, and prepare to make the jump to the US next season.

The athletic big man, who is also playing VCars.co.uk Division 3 basketball with Ipswich (forming a ‘twin towers’ with fellow 7 footer Leigh Greenan who you saw dunk on someone a couple of weeks back), is receiving interest from a number of different Division 1 schools.

Saw this kid play the other week. Good mobility for a big man, should be challenged in a higher league ie BBL to be honest.

Not if he wants to play in College! And there is no BBL team near Ipswich.
