Check out the live stream of GB’s final Group B game at the European Championships against Azerbaijan at 2:15pm UK time in Oradea, Romania.
Andreas Kapoulas’ side know that victory will be enough to book a spot in the quarter-finals having beaten Russia and Slovakia in their two previous games.
🇷🇺 beat 🇳🇱 by 19 which means GB will qualify for the QFs if they beat 🇦🇿 on Tue. 3-1 record enough inc. any H2H scenario. #FIBAU20Europe pic.twitter.com/EkwMyqaD0U

Here are some possible scenarios dependant on today’s result:
WIN – GB advance to the QFs – only 3-way tie would be between GB, Russia & Netherlands and this would result in finishing second:
Russia 1-1 (+12), GB 1-1 (-2), Netherlands 1-1 (-10)
WIN + TOP – GB will finish top if only Russia or Slovakia also finish 3-1 which would happen if Slovakia beat Netherlands later today. OR Netherlands beat Slovakia, Azerbaijan beat Netherlands and Slovakia beat Russia which would result in a 3-way 2-2 tie for 2nd.
LOSE + ADVANCE – If Netherlands won out, but Slovakia defeated Russia tomorrow – a 3-way 2-2 tie for second would ensue and GB would advance having beaten both of those sides.
LOSE + MISS OUT – However, if Netherlands and Russia both won out, GB would miss out on the QFs.
If things were not already complicated enough – it is still possible to have all 5 teams finish with a 2-2 record. In which case, points difference would come into play with GB’s 14-point win over Slovakia possibly proving vital.
