GB Under-18’s Announce 23-Man Squad for Final Camps

British Basketball have announced a preliminary 23-man GB Under-18’s squad ahead of this summer’s European Championships.

Alan Keane takes charge of the U18s this year and now has selections from all home nations following BE’s announcement of the players they were putting forward for consideration.

“It is great to be involved in bringing together talented young basketball players from across the home nations,” said Vladan Dragosovac, Technical and Performance Manager at Basketball England, who is overseeing the GB camps.

“The programme we are delivering through the upcoming camps is designed to further prepare our young athletes for competition at the highest level.”

Brian Amabilino-Perez, Nelson Boachie-Yiadom, Josh Edwards, Micah Savery-Richards, Romario Spence and Zion Tordoff all represented England and helped secure a ninth place finish.

Scottish trio Ryan Armour, Alexander Ferguson and Callan Low also make the list alongside Welsh duo Kieran Horrigan and Luke Webster-Smith.

The 23 players will enter camp and then be whittled down to a final 12 to compete in Tallinn, Estonia for the Division B campaign from July 28 – August 6.
