Who would’ve thought it would be just a year since our last NBA Pre-Draft timeline, as Tosan Evbuomwan looks to follow in the footsteps of Jeremy Sochan to get drafted.
It is no guaranteed thing; Evbuomwan is projected as a late second round pick or undrafted by most draft experts. Fellow Brit Quinn Ellis was looking like he would be in with Tosan, but withdrew after a strong showing at adidas Eurocamp.
Evbuomwan, a former Newcastle Eagle, was named unanimous Ivy League Player of the Year in 2022 and had one of year of college eligibility remaining but has chosen to opt to turn pro instead.
Evbuomwan’s versatile dominance captivated the country while taking the 15th-seeded Tigers to the Sweet 16, as he averaged averaging 18 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists over five elimination games in the post-season with the Tigers.
The 6’8″ point forward is hoping to become just the second Ivy League player drafted since 1984 – joining the London Lions’ Miye Oni, and would become the first player with a British passport drafted since Ryan Richards in 2010.
The draft is set to happen Thursday June 22 in Brooklyn

Tosan Evbuomwan showing some defensive versatility in this game which is what I wanted to see. Skilled offensive player who has a shot I would project to keep improving. Could be playing himself into a potential two-way deal.
