London Lions comeback attempt fell short as they went down 89-93 at the hands of Promitheas Patras on Wednesday night at the Copper Box.
The visitors avenged a 77-67 loss in the two teams’ first meeting, as they used a dominant third quarter to take control and then managed to hold off a Miye Oni inspired comeback down the stretch from the Lions.

Lions missed three consecutive opportunities at the rim on the final possession to pull within two, as the Greek side secured the rebound and dribbled out the clock.
Tomislav Zubcic led London with 24 points and 9 rebounds, Oni had 15 and Jordan Taylor 13. Promitheas Patras were led by 26 points and 11 assists from Anthony Cowan.
More to come.
