Record crowd for Hoopsfix All-Star Classic as Crystal Palace nears sellout

Hoopsfix All-Star Classic 2022

The Hoopsfix All-Star Classic is set to welcome a record crowd at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre on Saturday as the 2022 edition nears a sellout.

Limited tickets remain (buy, HERE) as close to 1400 people are expected to be in attendance in South London for the eighth edition of the British Basketball showcase.

Crystal Palace becomes the fourth different venue to host the event following Brunel University (2014), Brixton (2015-2019) and Battersea (2021).

“It’s an incredible feeling,” founder of Hoopsfix.com, Sam Neter said of the record crowd. “We want to keep pushing the event forward and make it bigger and better every year, so to see the positive response just adds to the motivation to keep working harder.”

Last year saw the Classic take place without fans for the first time due to the ongoing restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which had also forced the cancellation of the 2020 event.

Proceeds from the event’s ticket sales go to the Hoopsfix Foundation – the not-for-profit arm of Hoopsfix – and are then put back into the game with the renovated courts at Clapham Common a shining example of its aims.

The 2022 Hoopsfix All-Star Classic will begin with the return of the Coaching Clinic before the Foot Locker 3-Point Shootout begins at 1pm. The Under-19 Women’s game follows at 1:30pm with the Foot Locker Dunk Contest at 3:30pm before the Under-19 Men’s game rounds out the day at 4pm.

More information will follow on how you watch the event unfold throughout the day on Saturday.
