Rebecca Adjeiwaah-Dwomoh (02 Born) commits to D1 Robert Morris University

Rebecca Adjeiwaah-Dwomoh has announced her commitment to NCAA D1 school Robert Morris University for the 2021-22 season.

The GB junior international previously played overseas in Spain, but joined WBBL side Nottingham Wildcats for the current campaign.

Adjeiwaah-Dwomoh becomes the latest Brit to head to RMU with Ire Ozzy-Momodu recently playing for the Colonials prior to transferring.

“After a long process and loads of ups and downs, I’m very happy to announce that I have made the decision to continue my journey at NCAA D1 Robert Morris University,” she said, via Instagram.

“Firstly, I would like to thank God for this opportunity that has been given to me. Then I want to thank my parents who have supported me every step of the way and sacrificed everything for me to fulfil my dreams. Especially my Dad who introduced me to the game!

“I would also like to thank all my coaches who have always believed in me and pushed me to be the player I am today and for that I am very thankful. I’m very very blessed and grateful to have the greatest support system from family members to my best friend.

“I’m very excited to be able to continue my journey at such at such a great program and can’t wait”

The 2002-born guard/forward was part of the list of players announced for the 2020 Hoopsfix All-Star Classic, though the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
