Great Britain Under-16s will step up their preparations for the upcoming European Championships with a three-game series against Ireland Under-17s in Nottingham.
Kenrick Liburd remains as the head coach and has chosen a squad of 16 for camp with their preparation games starting today.
“I’m excited to get down to preparing for the Europeans and getting past the initial selection process,” he said. “We feel that we have looked at a good amount of players this year and now have a good squad moving forward.
“It is nice to see a real buzz this summer around women’s sport and also GB basketball due to the recent success of the Seniors – we hope to keep building on that success and show people that the future is bright.”
Sevenoaks Suns duo Asha Andrews – who played for the U18s this summer – and Tamara Fournillier-Onadeko were part of the GB Under-16s squad last summer along with Ella Doherty.
