Haris Tournament 2018 Line Ups & Schedule Released

The tournament line up and schedule for the 2018 Haris Memorial Tournament have been revealed for the event, which will run from 27-29 December at the Manchester Basketball Centre in Manchester.

‘Haris Select’ – essentially the England Under-16s – will be in attendance, and they will be joined by EABL academies Myerscough College (roster here) and Charnwood College, Kent Crusaders, Manchester Magic Under-18s, along with US prep school Blue Ridge School, Spain’s NovaSchool and CD Povoa of Portugal.

There will be a lot of British talent on display, including Deng Camp #1 ranked player Mate Okros, as Haris has cemented itself as the top junior showcase that takes place over the Christmas break.

“The Haris tournament is such a wonderful event,” Greater Manchester Community Basketball CEO Phil Gordos commented.

“It not only attracts top-quality teams from the UK, US and the rest of Europe, it also gives the basketball community in Manchester and beyond the chance to meet up and reminisce. I really appreciate the support the tournament gets and I hope it continues to be a key fixture in the junior basketball calendar.”

The eight teams will be split into two groups, with the two top progressing to the semi-finals.

Tickets for the 2018 event are £3 for day one, £4 for day two and £5 for day three. Alternatively, you can buy a £10 ticket that covers all three days. Call 0161 881 0090 for tickets.
