GB forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu has joined Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel, the club has announced.
The 31-year-old was invited to the Denver Nuggets training camp last month, before leaving shortly after due to personal reasons.
‘Pops’ spent last season in Turkey with Galatasaray, averaging 10.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in the TBL (highlights here). In June, he signed a two-year deal with Greek side Olympiacos, but the deal fell through when he failed his medical.
Hapoel Jerusalem have made a perfect start to their league campaign so far with seven wins from seven in the ‘Winner League’. The Israeli side are also competing in the EuroCup, but currently have just one win to their name from six games in Group E.
