Rewind to the summer, and take a look at Ben Mockford’s 19 point outing against Bosnia & Herzegovina in August.
It was the end to a tough summer for the GB Senior Men, as they lost 74-68 to finish with an 0-4 record and failed to qualify for Eurobasket 2015, but Mockford, in his debut campaign with the senior squad, impressed.
The 25-year-old guard went 5/8 from 3-point range, adding 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals in the game that was not shown on BT Sport due to technical problems. This is the first footage we have seen from it, as it appeared on YouTube this week.
“I knew the guys would play with pride in this last game and it was positive to see Ben (Mockford) play great and other players like Eric (Boateng) step up,” GB Head Coach Prunty said at the time.
“Ben, in particular, deserves a ton of credit for being such a great team-mate and working so hard. Especially with it being his first year with the team and only being fresh out of college – he can be proud of himself.”
