Tobi Lawal earns NBA Draft Combine invite
British forward Tobi Lawal has received an invite to the 2026 NBA Draft Combine, strengthening his case ahead of June’s draft.
The Virginia Tech and former CoLA forward was named among the prospects invited to the combine, which brings together leading draft candidates for testing, interviews and on-court work in front of NBA teams.
Lawal’s invite follows his appearance at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, where he was part of the annual showcase for senior prospects. He had 16 points, five rebounds, two steals and a block in one of his outings at the event.
The London-born forward averaged 12.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game as a senior at Virginia Tech, shooting 54.2 percent from the field.
His combine call-up marks another significant step for one of British basketball’s leading prospects in the 2026 draft cycle.
