Initial Great Britain U20 Roster Revealed

The Great Britain Under-20 squad will be led by the likes of Joe Hart and Ali Fraser (pictured), as the initial 17-man roster was revealed today.

Training camp officially opened in Colchester on June 6, although the team are currently in the midst of a week break before heading to Bristol for a combined teams camp this weekend.

Joe Hart, who has spent the past couple of seasons at Blair Academy High School, is expected to be one of the leaders of the team, whilst Fraser, who has just finished an impressive season at Maine University, will be the team’s presence inside having played a backseat role last summer to Ryan Richards and Devon van Oostrum. Louis Sayers, who despite not playing national league this year, has dominated BUCS competitions with Brunel University also received a call-up, along with former England U18 teammates, Jesse Chuku, Grant Fiorentinos, John Stewart, Josh Owen-Thomas and Harrison Gamble.

The only previous unknown in the squad is Tague Zachary, a 6’7″ guard/forward currently attending NCAA Division 3 school Grinnell College.

The team will be competing in the Division B European Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria from the 12th-22nd July.
