England U18s Take 4th Place in Belgium

England Basketball U18s Belgium TournamentEngland Under-18s returned from the Belgacom Invitational Cup in Belgium today with a fourth place finish under their belt.

After winning their first two games against USK Prague and Switzerland, England were defeated by Canarias Basketball Academy in the semi-finals, before losing to Belgium 74-61 in the third place playoff game.

Finishing the tournament with a 2-2 record, Steve Bucknall’s roster differed slightly to the one announced, with reserves Jack Wilson (Newcastle Eagles) and Jon Orrells (Bristol Academy Flyers) replacing Kingsley Okoroh and Connor Stuart.

Leicester’s Elliott Sentance led the team in scoring throughout the tournament, including a 29 point outing in their opening game against USK Prague. Full results and leading scorers from each game can be found below:
