Breitengüßbach Win, Haris Memorial Tournament Recap Day 3

Breitengüßbach were crowned champions of the 2011 Haris Memorial Tournament on Friday, after beating Manchester Magic Under-18s 64-56 in the final at the Amaechi Centre in Manchester.

Phillip Daubner’s 24 points led the German club side, whilst a 17 point-12 rebound double double from Jordan Whelan led Manchester.

England Under-16s finished in 7th place after getting their first win of the tournament, a 77-48 victory over Magic Under-16s in the seventh place playoff. England were led by Liam Carpenter’s 14 points, whilst Josh Steel added 12. Earlier in the day they suffered a 5 point defeat to Solent Under-18s.
