Plymouth Raiders booked a BBL Cup showdown against Newcastle next month after securing a semi-final victory over Worcester on Sunday.
Gavin Love’s men lost the second leg 89-82 but still wrapped up a 193-171 aggregate win.
24 hours earlier, Plymouth looked to have all but secured their progress when they blew away Worcester 111-83, sparked by 33 points from Jeremy Bell and a dominant second quarter showing.
That they would hold onto their advantage never looked in doubt, even when Worcester broke open a 39-39 half-time deadlock with a 10-2 run at the start of the fourth quarter.
Richie Gordon hit a game-high 34 points and the Wolves had left themselves in too deep a hole as Plymouth secured a clash with Newcastle in Birmingham on January 15 for the season’s first piece of silverware.
