GB U20 Women Routed by Spain
The Great Britain Under-20 Women were routed by 50 points against favourites Spain on Saturday, 81-31, at the Division A European Championships.
GB stood little chance against favourites Spain as they finished the game with more turnovers (36) than points.
Head Coach, Damian Jennings was disappointed with his team’s performance
“This was a disappointing performance over all. I’m sure many will reflect only on the scoreboard, but for us it is about how we perform against top Division A teams. We did not compete in the manner in which we expressed as an ambition before the game and we will work hard to turn that around.
“This division punishes those who don’t come to compete, and I have no doubt we learned a lot from the experience.”
GB were without leading rebounder Temi Fagbenle.
