WORCESTER MISS PLAY-OFFS AS TOP EIGHT SET
The top eight in the BBL is set. Worcester Wolves will miss out on the play-offs after losing 98-92 in overtime to Plymouth Raiders on Saturday.
Paul James' side only had themselves to blame after giving up a 10-point fourth quarter advantage.
A disappointed James said: "It's the same old story for us. We had a final chance to put pressure on Guildford Heat but the little things let us down again. On a couple of possessions we didn't execute at all."


After a tight first quarter, which Raiders shaded 26-25, Worcester took a 46-43 lead into half time.
And they extended that to 72-62 thanks to good play from Justin Dobbins and Daniel Gilbert in the third quarter.


But with former Wolves star Evaldas Zabas in excellent form the Raiders levelled the match at 88-88 before outscoring their hosts 10-4 in the extra period.
Worthing Thunder held off a late charge from Cheshire Jets to win 93-90, claiming only their fifth win of the season in what is possibly the club's final BBL game.
Gary Smith's men led by as much as 60-44 at half-time after a 33-9 run in the second quarter erased the visitors early advantage.
Cheshire fought back as an 11-2 run to start the fourth eventually saw them to level at 82-82. However Marlon Caper hit two decisive late free-throws to delight their home support.
"It was a great game, really entertaining and a great way to end the season at home,” said Smith. “Both teams played hard. It is nice to get a win in front of such a great crowd.”
Guildford Heat, led by 34 points from Julius Joseph, assured themselves of a post-season spot by demolishing Essex Pirates 109-74.
Leicester Riders swept past Newcastle Eagles 87-81 and will also head into the play-offs.
However, the seedings from five to eight will not be determined until the final day of the regular season on Sunday.
Plymouth would be overtaken for fifth if Glasgow defeat Milton Keynes at the Kelvin Hall and the Raiders lose against Worthing.
Should the Rocks lose, then a win for Guildford over Leicester would see all three teams tied on equal points and to separated by head to head.
Meanwhile Mersey Tigers have confirmed that X-rays have confirmed that Drew Sullivan did not suffer an ankle break in Friday's loss to Sheffield.
The Great Britain captain was taken to hospital after a collision late in the first half of the game.
He will be evaluated again on Monday.
