Women’s BUCS Basketball Results-Week 3

Northumbria still sit undefeated atop the Premier North Division after knocking off Sheffield Hallam this Wednesday. Ta’yani Clark led the way with yet another big performance, finishing with a game high 35 points. Edinburgh also remain unbeaten as they dealt a weakened Loughborough team their third straight loss to open the season.

In the South, LSBU took Oxford apart in a 99-22 rout, whilst UWIC and London Met continued their perfect start to the season and now sit now sit at 3-0 at the top of the South.

Next week sees a couple of important games in the Premier South. London Met takes on London South Bank in a local derby and Brighton will face Bristol, both of which are fighting stay out of the relegation zone. Up North, Loughborough and Birmingham will be looking to pick up their first wins of the season as they play Leeds Met and Sheffield Hallam respectively. Either Northumbria or Edinburgh’s perfect start to the season will come to an end as they face off at the newly built Sports Central in Northumbria.
