Women’s BUCS Basketball 2010/2011 Season Underway-Results

Wednesday witnessed the start of the Women’s 2010/2011 BUCS Basketball season and whilst some fixtures went as expected with Northumbria and UWIC opening the season with strong wins, there was a big upset in the North.

Edinburgh’s women upset Leeds Met Carnegie in their opening home game of the season, showing that the long trip up to Scotland is going to be tough for teams this season.

Also in the North, Loughborough almost pulled off a huge comeback, being down 12 with just 40 seconds to go in the game. Sheffield Hallam managed to just hang on for a 1 point victory to start the year.
