Nick George Withdraws from Team GB
The loss of George is a huge blow
Mancunian Nick George has withdrawn from Team GB’s impending summer campaign citing ‘personal reasons’ according to tweets from journalist Mark Woods.
The loss of George, a 6’6 forward who has played a key role in previous campaigns, is a huge blow to Team GB hopes for their Eurobasket 2011 qualifying campaign. It comes after the prior withdrawal of Scottish big man Robert Archibald and the non-commital of Andy Betts due to family committments.
The news comes on the same day as Hoopsfix has reported three GB U23’s have been called up to the Senior Men’s training camp.
