After showing promise in his first game, young GB-phenom Ryan Richards exploded in his second dropping 20 pts and 11rbs with his new club BBC Monthey in a 79-73 win over BC Boncourt on Saturday night.
On loan from Gran Canaria, the 6’10 big man showed that despite not playing much the past two seasons, he hasn’t lost a step.
His coach Thibaut Petit talking to the press after the game said
“I’m very happy for him, he’s a young guy who almost hasn’t played at all for the past 2 seasons, he’s hungry to play and showed that today”
Basketball 24/7 have also reported that Richards is a confirmed participant in the 2010 Adidas Camp in Treviso, Italy. The Adidas Camp is world-famous with many NBA scouts expected to be in attendance.
Richards and BBC Monthey are next in action on the 30th January vs SAV Vacallo Basket.
