Quin Ellis wins second consecutive Italian Cup
Quinn Ellis has gone back-to-back at the Italian Cup after winning the Coppa Italia for the second year in a row.
Having won the Italian Cup and being named the Final Eight MVP last year with Trento, the GB international claimed the Cup title this time around as a member of Olimpia Milano.
Olimpia took home the Coppa Italia with an 85-77 victory over Derthona Basket Tortona on Sunday in the championship game.
Ellis provided solid contributions for Milano, who were crowned Italian Cup champions for a record ninth occasion, as per olimpiamilano.com.
The 22 year old guard posted seven points, eight boards and five assists in Milano’s quarterfinal win against Trieste, and he also tallied six points in the semifinal triumph over Brescia.
In the final versus Tortona, Ellis came away with four points after he went 4/4 from the free throw line.
Guard Armoni Brooks secured the MVP award after he made six three pointers and scored 20 points in the championship game win over Tortona.
