Qunn Ellis named MVP while leading Trento to Cup title

Quinn Ellis has won the Italian Cup with Trento while picking up Final Eight MVP honours along with Best Assistman.

The GB point guard has shone over the three rounds of the Final Eight, opening up with a 12-point, 14-assist double-double in a win over Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, following that up with a near triple double in the semi-finals with 11 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, and then punctuating the final with a further 14 point outing.

“I’m just taking it all in,” Ellis said. “It’s incredible, we’ve got a special group; everyone off the court and on the court is exceptional.”

It’s the perfect point to pause the season as Ellis will now join GB for the upcoming international window where they attempt to quality for EuroBasket 2025.
