There was little to separate the two sides throughout the contest as the gap remained in single figures throughout, with Edwards scoring twice in a decisive 9-0 run late in the fourth.

It was Edwards who set the tone with the opening points of the game as Team White opened with an early 11-2 advantage as Alix McIntosh converted an and-1 and Erin Powell added four points.

Megan Verbeeten – who would finish with a game-high 16 points for Team Black – scored five quick points to get them going, while Liv Forster and Katie Cox also added threes before Elia Ando put their side ahead at 16-15.

Edwards moved into double figures early in the second, but it was Team Black who managed to stay in front as Verbeeten hit another triple, and Haley Wright followed suit to help secure a narrow 31-30 advantage at the half.

It was a similar story in the third, and it would finish with a mini scoring battle between Scottish teammates Zoe Sharpe and McIntosh as Team Black doubled their lead to 52-50.

Verbeeten’s fourth three put her side up by five in the fourth, but Violet Stutz responded from deep for Team White to tie up the game, and it was still level when Grace Strickland made it 59-59 heading into the final five minutes.

However, Matt Pitkin’s Team Black would be held scoreless for four minutes in a pivotal spell with Edwards, McIntosh and Florrie Cotterill all combining on the scoresheet for Team White. There was a late rally to cut the lead back to three points, but CoLA duo Stutz and Felicia Jacobs iced the win from the line.

Valerie Cassidy-de Falco (Team White) and Isobel Robinson (Team Black) were unable to play due to injury.
