The 24 players suiting up in the Under-19 Women’s game at the 2025 Hoopsfix All-Star Classic have been confirmed.
It will be the fifth U19 women’s game to take place at the junior showcase with some of the best British prospects taking to the court at Crystal Palace, on Sunday 25th May – tickets available here.
Seven players return from last year’s Classic, including the two MVPs in the WEABL this season. Ayla Habbal will lead Team White as one of five CoLA representatives in the game, having led the WEABL in assists with 6.3 per game along with 13.7 points for the runners-up, whilst also being named Finals MVP in WNBL D1 and making the Team of the Year.
Northern Conference MVP Elizandra Costa suits up for Team Black after putting up 20.0 points per game to lead Manchester to an unbeaten regular season. Twin sister Carina Costa will be on the other side of the court as she makes her debut this year having made the All-North Second Team as the WEABL’s steals leader.
WEABL Finals MVP Hannah Gray is another debutante, alongside Copleston teammates Maisie Keyes and Cerys Leach, who both made the All-South Second Team. Louisa Gibbins returns for a third year – though missed out on playing last year due to injury – and was selected in the British Team of the Year in WNBL D1 having averaged a double-double for Ipswich. Deanna Carrington and Holly Ensoll also make their first appearances at the Classic with six representatives highlighting the continued success of the programme.
The highly rated Bo Frost is set to suit up for the first time having burst onto the British scene with GB Under-18s last summer. Frost is joined by the returning Megan Verbeeten on Team Black with the Barking Abbey guard having enjoyed another strong season. The WEABL scoring leader put up 20.1 points per game in the 2024-25 campaign and also led the league with 1.9 blocks per outing.
Adaora Dioramma makes another appearance and the CoLA forward posted an important double-double in the D1 playoffs final to help deliver another title triumph. She is joined on Team White by one of three CoLA debutantes in Debra Wilson-Osuide, who made the All-South Second Team in the WEABL, and they will go up against the sharpshooting Monife Abidekun and fast-emerging big Eva-Grace Yebila.
Another returnee sees Alix McIntosh representing Scotland having been part of the historic first top-flight trophy for Caledonia Gladiators in the SLB this season, whilst also playing in Europe. JMA’s Millie Day earns a first appearance after being named Most Improved in the Southern Conference of the WEABL, while Presbyterian-bound Sammy Mullock adds strength to the frontcourt.
Charnwood’s Charley Woodman boosts the Team Black backcourt and will go up against club teammate Emily Taylor, who averaged 18.1 points per game to make the All-North First Team in the WEABL.
Irene Oboavwoduo averaged a double-double in making the WEABL’s All-North First Team – and U17 Player of the Year – and is back for a second appearance at the Classic. The athletic guard played a major role in helping GB Under-16s earn promotion last summer and is joined on Team White by another teammate in Tiarna Chambers-Desmond averaged 15.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game to make the All-North First Team in the WEABL for Nottingham, as well as earning significant SLB minutes.
