London Lions have won the BBL Championship regular season title for the second consecutive year with six games remaining, equaling their record from last season.
They clinched the title after Leicester Riders defeated Cheshire Phoenix 101-93 on Friday evening, meaning that Cheshire can no longer catch London, as the Lions hold the head-to-head; if London (27-3) lose all their remaining games and Cheshire (16-9) win all of theirs, they would be tied with a 27-9 record and Lions have beat Cheshire in three of their match ups this season, with one still to be played.

Per Dan Routledge, their winning of the title 51 days before the end of the season nearly doubles the previous best of 26.
