Great Britain’s junior national team now know their opponents for the newly named FIBA Youth EuroBasket competitions, after the draw for this summer’s tournaments took place in Freising, Germany.
The competitions, formerly known as the European Championships, are now called the Youth EuroBaskets, but will follow the same formats.
GB learned in which groups they will be and who they will face for each tournament, which is as follows:

A British Basketball combine took place in January to begin to identify players that will represent GB at U16 and U18 level.
Paul Fournel, the new Youth Teams Programme Manager for GB, organised the combine as one of his first tasks while the majority of performance staff for the GB youth teams have now also been confirmed.
These include the continuing head coaches Chantelle Handy (Women U20) and Alan Keane (Men U18) as well as new roles for Krumesh Patel (Women U18) and Dan Petts (Men U16).
