Tomiwa Sulaiman has helped IUP to their fourth straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship.

It is the Sophomore’s second title in a year where he was also named All-PSAC First Team, having won last season while also being named Rookie of the Year.

Top-seeded IUP led most of the way and needed one final defensive stand as time expired to hold off Mercyhurst 54-53 and take the title.

Sulaiman, who has started all year, played all 40 minutes, and registered 10 points and 13 rebounds in the victory.

The former Hoopsfix All-Star Classic MVP and GB junior international is averaging 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists in 29.4 minutes per game on the season.

IUP (30-1) secures its 13th conference championship in program history, clinching an automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA DII Tournament, which begins in the next week.
