Tobi Lawal, VCU, win A10 Conference Championship
Tobi Lawal and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) are heading to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Atlantic-10 Conference Tournament on Sunday.
The Rams defeated Dayton 68-56 in the championship game, overturning a halftime deficit to pull out the win to add to their regular season title.
Lawal, a Freshman, made his only field goal attempt to finish with 2 points and a rebound in the victory.
VCU, a No.12 seed, will take on St Marys (#5) in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
