Great Britain have confirmed its final 12-player roster as the Senior Women take on Estonia in Manchester, on Thursday, in the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2023 qualifiers.
Chema Buceta has welcomed back Cheridene Green and Holly Winterburn after they were absent for the last window with GB still in the mix to qualify for this summer’s tournament.
Temi Fagbenle leads GB with 23.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists across the qualifying campaign so far with frontcourt partner Kristine Anigwe adding 13.5 points per game.
“Manchester is our home court and I am looking forward to us playing there again,” said Buceta, via release. “We have to win these two games, and the one against Portugal by as many points as possible.
“The task is difficult but with the support of our fans we will be able to do it. The Great Britain team is a team for everyone, and we need a lot of support from the stands to succeed. Positive glasses.”
