Kareem Queeley has been promoted to the first team with San Pablo Burgos ahead of the upcoming 2021-22 season, it has been announced.
The young GB forward has predominantly played for the club’s EBA side since joining from Real Madrid in 2019, though he has suited up in Liga Endesa action.
Queeley was part of the 12-man roster that won the first of two Basketball Champions League titles in 2020, becoming the first British player to win the competition.
The 20-year-old earned a call-up to the GB Senior team in the recent FIBA EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers having been part of the final 12 against Montenegro in November.
Queeley will now get the chance for more opportunities at a high level and compete for minutes in the ACB this upcoming season.
