GB Senior Women face familiar foes in EuroBasket qualifiers

Great Britain’s Senior Women now know their path to get back to the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket final round after being drawn with Greece, Portugal and Estonia.

Chema Buceta’s side missed out on the 2021 edition as they missed out on qualification amongst the group runners-up having lost twice against Belarus.

GB last met Greece as part of the qualifiers for the 2019 tournament, losing by two points on the road before securing a 79-77 triumph in Manchester, whilst also beating Portugal twice in that campaign.

The 2023 qualifiers will commence with the first of three windows taking place in November with a select group meeting in Manchester this week to begin preparations.
