Greg Wild signs first pro contract with Leicester Riders on four-year deal

Greg Wild has signed a four-year deal with Leicester Riders for his first pro contract.

The 19-year-old saw minutes on the BBL roster this past season, whilst also suiting up for Loughborough Riders in NBL D1.

Wild will study for a degree at Loughborough which will enable the Charnwood graduate to suit up for the D1 side as well as in BUCS competition.

“It’s a surreal feeling signing my first professional contract with such a decorated club with a lot of history and great success,” said Wild, via release.

“I am grateful for the opportunities that have led me to this point in my playing career and I’m ready to get to work with the guys ahead of next year. I can’t wait to get back out there and show everyone what I’m capable of, I want to keep getting better everyday.

“I am blessed for the opportunity to study at Loughborough University through Loughborough College and thankful for the partnership between Riders and Loughborough to allow me to get my degree alongside playing basketball at a high level.”

The Riders have already announced the returns of league MVP Geno Crandall as well as Mo Walker, who has signed another two-year deal to remain with the club, and captain Darien Nelson-Henry.
