Great Britain Under-16s’ final 12 is set ahead of the European Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria with their Division B campaign starting today.
Kenrick Liburd confirmed his roster following a three-game series against Ireland U17s – losing 1-2 – before beating Division A opposition Denmark 2-1 in Nottingham.
GB opened with a 57-72 defeat against Ireland before bouncing back with a 56-44 victory and then went down 75-77 in overtime in the series decider having had a big lead.
They then suffered an opening 55-69 loss against Denmark, despite 16 points and 19 rebounds from Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu. GB then recorded a 72-50 success in the second game with 18 points for Abbey Whitehouse as they dominated the third quarter to take control.
In the series decider, GB U16s claimed a 46-39 victory with Paige Martin scoring a team-high 10 points, while Ozzy-Momodu collected 16 rebounds.
