Ipswich big man Ethan Price and Kent Crusaders’ Tyrese Walters-Lawrence have been called up to play in the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic this Saturday June 2nd in Brixton.
Walters-Lawrence, a 5’11” lightning quick guard, comes in after a tumultuous season that initially saw him ranked inside the Deng Top 20, before battling injury and then recovering from a stabbing. He has signed with Bryant and Stratton College next season.
“After sitting out the whole of the regular season due to an injury, I feel blessed to be selected,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to playing against top players in my Class across the country one last time before going college in America.”
Walters-Lawrence is to suit up in the Class of 2018 game and takes the place of Jacob Round who sustained a minor injury in Spain and so will be unable to play; though will still be in attendance.
Price, a 6’8′ 2001 born power forward, is fresh off a monstrous performance at the Junior Final Fours with Ipswich Under-16s, having led the East Region to the title to start the season.
“Really excited and looking forward to playing and competing against some of the best players in the country,” Price said.
Price is suiting up in the Underclassmen game in replacement of Josh Ogundele who has withdrawn due to not being able to get back to the UK from the US.
