Jules Dang Akodo Signs for Burgos in Spain
Jules Dang Akodo is heading to Spain to continue his pro career after joining LEB Gold side, Burgos – the club announced today.
The 20-year-old was one of the leading performers for the GB Under-20s this summer, averaging a team-high 10.1 points and 4.9 assists per game.
Dang Akodo spent last season playing in a second spell in the top-flight in Slovenia and put up 8.6 points per outing as well as 3.3 assist in 27 appearances for LTH Castings.
Last season, Burgos – a.k.a CB Miraflores – finished third in the Spanish second division before falling to a 3-1 defeat in the playoff semi-finals.
Dang Akodo joins up with the rest of the squad – including GB U20 team-mate Mo Soluade, who has already joined on loan – with pre-season already underway.
