Jordan Spencer matched his career-high with 22 points to lead Augustana to a 75-62 win over Winona State on Friday night as his Vikings have been ranked No. 1 in the country in the NABC Top 25 Poll, it was announced yesterday.
It marks the first time in program history during the regular season that Augustana University men’s basketball is ranked No. 1 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.
Augustana was ranked No. 1 in the NABC Preseason Poll on Oct. 27 before stops at No. 6 and No. 3 before being ranked second for six straight weeks from Dec. 8 to Jan. 19.

Spencer finished Friday night 9 of 13 from the field, connecting on 3 of 5 3-pointers go along with eight assists and three rebounds while picking up three steals. The 20-point performance by Spencer marks his second of the season, third career.
The former GB U20 is averaging 8.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game in 28.7 minutes per game so far this season. Check out one of his lob passes to teammate John Warren earlier in the season:
