Andrew Lawrence Signs with Gipuzkoa in Spain

GB international guard Andrew Lawrence has joined Spanish Liga ACB side Gipuzkoa, as first reported by Gigantes.

Lawrence missed the entire 2014-15 season due to an injury he sustained the previous summer.

He made a return to the GB set-up after being invited to the Senior Men’s camp at UEL this week but will not be suiting up in the friendly against New Zealand.

The 25-year-old spent his rookie season in Croatia with KK Zadar and averaged 8.6 points per game along with 3.1 assists having also competed in the NBA Summer League with Washington Wizards.

Lawrence becomes the Spanish side’s first summer signing and they will again play in the top-flight next season despite finishing second bottom with a 10-24 record.
