Chris Caird has turned professional after joining FSU Selfoss in the Icelandic Dominos League.
The 6’6″ guard/forward recently finished his college career at Drake and played in all 31 games of his senior year.
Caird averaged 6.9 points per game last season, shooting over 40% from 3-point range having hit game-winners against Southern Illinois and Indiana State.
He scored a career-high 21 points as a junior in the 2013-14 season after making the switch to Drake from JUCO side Marshalltown Community College, where he spent his freshman and sophomore years.
Caird’s first pro club, FSU Selfoss claimed the Division 1 playoffs title to earn promotion to the top flight having finished third in the regular season with a 13-8 record.
