Luol Deng scored 15 points on two occasions this week and both contributions led to victories for Miami Heat as they continue to push to secure their spot in the playoffs. Joel Freeland is almost assured of heading into the post-season again, and he scored his first NBA points since January 3rd, before adding cameos of 7 points and 4 rebounds and 6 points and 5 rebounds.

Mo Soluade had a career night in the Euroleague with 8 points and three steals for Unicaja Malaga as they were beaten 92-79 by CSKA Moscow. Kyle Johnson led Brampton A’s into the NBL playoff semi-finals in Canada after putting up 28 points and 8 rebounds in the Game 5 decider, before leaving to join Italian A2 Gold side Angelico Biella.

In Greece, Pops Mensah-Bonsu was a point shy of a double-double as he put up 9 points and 11 rebounds in a 72-65 road win for AEK Athens (12-9) with Justin Robinson scoring 2 points and grabbing four boards in opposition with Kolossos (10-11). Also, Ogo Adegboye had five points and five rebounds as Aris (14-7) recorded a 67-63 win to continue their momentum.

The LNBP playoff semi-finals began and Soles are on the verge of beating the top seeds after establishing a 3-2 lead over the first five games. Matthew Bryan-Amaning had 26 points and 10 rebounds in an opening loss, before big displays of 18 and 21 points helped Soles take control of the series.

Ovie Soko scored five points and had five rebounds in a 61-60 win for Boulazac (18-8) in the French Pro-B. Tafari Toney top scored with 15 points in the third tier as he led Sorgues (13-14) to a convincing 87-58 win. Eric Boateng came out on top in a battle of the Brits with 15 points and 12 rebounds as Mulhouse (14-12) edged out Lourdes (18-9) 84-82 with Shane Walker adding 12 points in the loss.

Myles Hesson contributed 12 points as Bremerhaven (8-19) claimed a second win in a row with a 91-76 victory on the road. In the Pro-B playoffs, Orlan Jackman guided Iserlohn into the quarter-finals with 13 points and 8 rebounds in a 70-68 road win. Meanwhile, Robert Gilchrist and Jules Dang Akodo fell at the first hurdle despite impressive individual performances in their first round deciders. Gilchrist almost recorded a double-double with 10 points, 8 rebounds as well as five blocks, while Akodo had a team-high 23 points for Fraport Skyliners Juniors.

Ryan Richards produced another dominant 30-point haul, whilst adding 9 rebounds and dishing out four assists to lead Kormend to a convincing 113-86 victory. In the Dutch Basketball League, Nigel van Oostrum scored 12 points and also had six rebounds and three assists in an all-round display as Leeuwarden (7-16) won 75-74.

Ashley Hamilton was another to fill the stat-sheet after finishing with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and three steals, but Cherkasy (13-15) suffered a 77-73 loss. In Sweden, Will Neighbour’s playoff venture with LF Basket was short-lived as the fourth seeds bowed out in the first round with a 3-0 defeat.

Dan Clark netted 3-4 from beyond the arc for a 9-point haul as Fuenlabrada (9-16) battled hard in an 88-82 defeat at home to Monbus. Devon van Oostrum scored 14 points as Penas Huesca (8-16) pulled off a 73-67 upset on the road. Also, in LEB Gold, Aaron Geramipoor had 10 points and 7 rebounds as Ourense (16-8) were beaten 75-73.
