Bryan-Amaning & UW Suffer Defeat to UNC

Washington failed to get to the Sweet 16 after bowing out to UNC 86-83 on Sunday in a game that featured numerous questionable calls in the last minute and saw Matthew Bryan-Amaning’s college career come to an end. It was a tough finish to an impressive senior season for Bryan-Amaning  who finished with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 block in 29 minutes, on 7/14 shooting.

After the game, an emotional Bryan-Amaning who will now explore his professional basketball options, said:

“It’s been a lot of ups and downs in four years, a lot adversity. Obviously, making three consecutive NCAA tournaments with my teammates was a lot of fun. It’s just hard to go out like this.”

The London born forward finished the season averaging 15.3 points, 8 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1 steal per game. He was named to the Pac-10’s All-First team and awarded the league’s Most Improved Player honour.
