Oxford Steal BUCS Premier South Title

Oxford University sealed the BUCS Premier South regular season title yesterday, beating previously undefeated LSBU 91-80. Needing to win by 3 points or more to officially be named winners after losing their previous matchup with LSBU by two points, 82-80, Oxford got the 11 point victory, giving them an equal 9-1 record with LSBU, but more importantly the tiebreak advantage.

Elsewhere, Brunel beat Kingston 91-46 to seal 3rd place behind 21 points from Eni Araba-Jacobs and 17 from Tomas Politi, Bode Adeluola had 18 to lead Kingston. Kingston finish bottom of the league and face demotion after just one season in the Premier South.

Middlesex beat London Met 67-45 (score TBC), taking a fourth place finish, with a 4-6 record.

On Monday, in the two rescheduled fixtures that were missed earlier in the season, Brunel beat London Met 63-59, behind an impressive performance from Tomas Politi who finished with 26, whilst Kingston didn’t travel to Oxford, awarding Oxford the walkover.
