Swaine, Stewart Lead Performers of the Weekend

A regular feature here on Hoopsfix, it’s time to recognise a number of standout individual performances from this past weekend across all EBL National Leagues with our ‘Performers of the Weekend’;

Veteran Jason Swaine, who has been killin’ England basketball leagues for years now, had a ridiculous 48 point, 7 rebound, 13 assist effort, as his Hudderfield Heat beat Durham Wildcats II 109-86 in EBL Division 4 North action.

Sheffield Junior Sharks lost by 1 in OT to Sefton as John Stewart (who is no stranger to Performers of the Weekend) fouled out with 3 mins left in the fourth…that wasn’t before he had dropped 32 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists. He followed this up on Sunday with a 30 point-12 rebound double double, plus the ‘W’ as the Sharks took down Leicester Warriors.

Leeds Carnegie U16 Tre Price banged 12 threes on his way to a 44 point game but still couldn’t prevent the loss as Rotherham Hawks won 81-71.

Dean De-Freitas Smith had 43 and 12 boards but couldn’t stop his Hackney White Heat from losing 112-86 to Plymouth Marjon in Division 3 Men’s South.

In Division 4 Men South East action, Ohene had 38 points as his London Feltham Warriors beat Southgate Academical Lions 91-86.

The Brixton Topcats reached the National Cup final for the first time in their long history with a 90-79 victory at London United-Harefield Academy on Sunday. Dave Ajumobi led the Topcats in this historic victory with 26 points.
