Bucci, Stewart Once Again Performers of the Weekend

A regular feature here on Hoopsfix, it’s time to recognise a number of standout individual performances from this past weekend across all EBL National Leagues with our ‘Performers of the Weekend’;

Tees Valley Mohawk Ralph Bucci once again showed why he is one of the best players in the National Leagues this weekend after dropping 87 points over two games. He had 28 in a 75-48 drubbing of Eastside Eagles on Saturday, before dropping 59 points against London United on the following day in a 115-105 victory!

John Stewart (1993) equaled his career high with a 55 point performance, whilst adding 8 assists and 9 boards, as his Sheffield Junior Sharks murdered Stockport Falcons 151-31.

Martyn Gayle had a 34 point effort, gunning 6 of his 11 three point attempts as his Derby Trailblazers dispatched of Leicester Warriors 100-90 in EBL Division 1 Men’s action.

Elliot Sentance (1994) had a 37 point performance, helping his Leicester Warriors to a 92-71 victory over Manchester Magic in U18 Men North Premier action.

Tyrell Isaacs (1995), in what a few are calling the best U16 performance they have seen in years, had a 29 point-15 rebound performance as his Westminster Warriors U16’s beat Solent Kestrels 70-55 in South Premier action.

Fellow Westminster Warrior Ed Lucas (1993) had 30 as his Warriors beat Brentwood 98-78 in U18 Men South Premier action.

Special shout out also needs to go to Lee Norton who had 90 (WTF?!) in a local league game. Yes it wasn’t National League, but 90 points in any game is straight impressive!  On top of that, before Christmas, Jason Swaine had two huge back to back games-dropping 48 vs Durham 2, followed by 60 at Middlesbrough on the Sunday to help Huddersfield Heat to two wins.
